A 17-year-old boy has died after the van in which he was travelling collided with a wall.
The incident happened at around 1.45am on Saturday morning on Pier Road, Enniscrone, Co Sligo.
An 18-year-old man driving the car was not injured in the crash.
The scene of the collision was closed to traffic to allow for a forensic collision examination to be carried out.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
