A man has died following a single vehicle fatal road traffic crash in Coolshine, Co Limerick.

The incident took place on the Caherconlish and Herbertstown Road in Coolshine.

The man, who was in his mid-30's, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Emergency services were notified after the vehicle was discovered by a passing motorist at around 5.30am.

The body of the man was removed to the morgue at University Hospital Limerick.

An appeal has been issued and garadí are asking for anyone who may have been on that stretch of road between midnight and 5.30am, to contact Roxboro Road Garda Station on 061 214340, the garda confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
