Baby Karol's mother thanks public for support

The mother of baby Karol Rozycki, who died at an apartment in Killarney, Co Kerry, on Sunday, has thanked the people of the town and the public for their support.

A family friend has issued a statement expressing gratitude on behalf of Anna Rozycka and her family.

Supported by her mother Tereasa, she will fly to Poland with the body of her 11-month old son tomorrow, where he will be buried in Ms Rozycka's home city of Bielsko-Biala at the weekend.

The statement on Ms Rozycka's behalf thanked the staff and management at the Aghadoe Heights Hotel in Killarney where she works as a chef.

It also thanked gardaí, the chaplain to the 5,000-strong Polish community in Kerry, Fr Piotr Delimat, and Killarney Parish Priest Fr Kieran O'Brien.

A fund has been set up to support Ms Rozycka and her family.
