Seven units of the Dublin Fire Brigade are dealing with a blaze in the city centre tonight.

The fire broke out earlier this evening in the basement of the Kingfisher Restaurant on Parnell Street.

A number of people who were in the building at the time were evacuated and no one was injured.

The Fire Service said efforts are continuing to contain the blaze and prevent it spreading to adjoining buildings.
