A man is missing after a boat he was in capsized off the coast of Templenoe in Co Kerry today.
Another man, who was also in the boat at the time, managed to swim ashore to a small Island off Templenoe where he was rescued.
Emergency services were alerted just after 2pm this afternoon and a search got under way.
The Shannon-based helicopter, Castletownbere Coast Guard unit and Kerry Fire Service were all involved in the search this afternoon but the search has now been called off for the night. It will begin again at first light.
The second man who was rescued has been taken to hospital suffering from hypothermia.
The men are believed to be from the Kenmare area and the missing man is a father of three and is believed to be in his 50s.
