Man dies after collapsing on road in Dublin

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a man who collapsed on Westland Row, Dublin 2, this morning.

At 7.30am, a man in his late 30s wearing an orange jacket was found collapsed on Westland Row.

This man had been walking up Westland Row towards Lincoln Place and collapsed on to the roadway. A passing motorist stopped and gave CPR to the man.

The man was taken to St James's Hospital but later died. A post mortem is scheduled to be conducted tomorrow.

There were a number of people on the street at that time and gardaí are seeking their assistance in relation to the incident.
