A fresh appeal has been issued to trace 31-year-old Colin Ronayne, who has been missing from Cork city since the early hours of New Year's Day

Mr Ronayne was last seen near Thomas Davis Bridge, locally known as Wellington Bridge, in Cork at 6.05am on Friday 1 January.

He is described as 1.7m (5'6'') tall, of medium build with short dark hair.

When last seen Mr Ronayne was wearing a black V neck jumper, black tracksuit bottoms and grey pointed dress shoes.

Gardaí are appealing in particular for anyone who may have used or crossed over Wellington Bridge between 5.30am and 6.30am on the 1 January to come forward.
