A woman in her 70s has been found dead after a house fire in Cavan town.
The fire at Church Street in the town was reported by neighbours at 2.15pm and emergency services attended the scene.
The woman's body was discovered in the house.
Her body was been taken to Cavan General Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
