An investigation is under way into the discovery of a body off the Co Mayo coast.
The remains were found by the crew of a local fishing vessel in Lacken Bay, in an area southeast of Downpatrick Head this evening.
No identification has been yet made.
The discovery follows a two week search in Broadhaven Bay for a 23-year-old fisherman who has been missing since 11 September.
The search for Daniel Doherty has been ongoing since he failed to return home from a lobster fishing trip.
