A 23-year-old man has died after collapsing at the SSE Airtricity Dublin half-marathon.
Ambulance services say the runner suffered a 'cardiac event' close to the finishing line during the Phoenix Park race.
He was assisted by several participants who happened to be trained paramedics, before being treated by members of the St John's Ambulance medical team.
The man was transferred to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where he was pronounced dead.
