Three men have died in separate road traffic incidents in counties Kerry and Down.
A 24-year-old man died in a road collision near Ballybunion in Co Kerry early this morning.
The man died at the scene after he was struck by a car while walking at Barnadarrig at 3.45am.
The 25-year-old driver was also injured and taken to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee where his injuries are said not to be serious.
The road is currently closed between Lisselton Cross and Ahafone Cross and diversions are in place.
Gardaí in Listowel have appealed for witnesses or anyone who may have been on the Lisselton to Ballybunion Road between 2am and 4am to contact them in Listowel Garda Station on 068-21000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any Garda station.
Separately, two teenage men died after their car hit a wall in Co Down.
Police said the vehicle left the road in Rostrevor shortly before midnight, and ended up in a field.
The crash on Kilbroney Road caused a fire at a nearby oil tank, which spread to a property.
A third man was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical.
A female resident in the house was also taken to hospital to be treated for shock.
