An opinion poll suggests that the Government's popularity is increasing one month before the Budget.

The Sunday Business Post/Red C opinion poll indicates that there has been a decline in support for Sinn Féin, Independents and smaller parties.

Meanwhile one in ten voters surveyed said that they are undecided.

Fine Gael is up three points to 28% compared to the last poll in July.

Labour Party are also up two points bringing them to 10%.

Sinn Féin on 16% are down two points while Fianna Fáil are unchanged on 18%.

The Independents and smaller parties are down three points, they are neck and neck with Fine Gael on 28%.

The Government coalition is still 17 points off the vote it won in 2011.
