Renewed appeal over murder of Raonaid Murray

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information over the death of Raonaid Murray on the 16th anniversary of her murder.

Gardaí say Raonaid worked at a clothes shop which was then known as Sally West in Dún Laoghaire Shopping Centre.

Gardaí say Raonaid left the shop at approximately 9pm on 3 September 1999 and went with a friend to Scott’s Public House in Dún Laoghaire. She made arrangements with a friend to go to a night club later that night.

Raonaid left Scott’s Bar at approximately 11.20pm to go home and change before going to the night club. Her house is approximately a 15 minute walk from Scott’s Public House.

Raonaid’s body was then found at Silchester Crescent in Glenageary on 4 September at 12.33am, less than 500 yards from her home.

Raonaid’s family have also appealed to the public for any information.
