A fresh appeal has been issued for information over the discovery of a man’s body in Co Galway last year.

An investigation was started on 27 September 2014 when the body was found in Rusheen Woods, Knocknacarra and efforts to identify the man have so far been unsuccessful.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

A facial reconstruction image of the man has been created by Dundee University.

He is described as being between 30 and 40 years of age and approximately 1.82m (6ft) tall with black hair.

He is of broad/strong build and was wearing a gold bracelet watch (Caravelle by Bulova). He was also wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and white and blue 'Athletech' runners.

He had a black belt with metal flower design studs across its length with a silver coloured buckle.

Anyone who can assist in identifying the man is asked to contact Salthill Garda Station on 091-514720, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800-666-111 or any garda station.
