Up to 300 jobs are to be lost at aircraft manufacturer Bombardier in east Belfast.
The company says the majority of the employees affected will be temporary and agency staff who work alongside permanent employees.
Bombardier says a small number of their full-time staff will also be affected but said it would look at all opportunities to avoid the need for compulsory redundancies within the permanent workforce.
The Belfast plant makes wing parts for the Bombardier Global 5000 and Global 6000 business aircraft.
The company, based in Montreal, Canada, said that a total of 1,750 jobs are being cut due to a drop in orders for the jets.
Most of the redundancies will be in Montreal and Toronto.
