Two hurt in gas explosion at Cork restaurant

Two men were taken to hospital following a suspected gas explosion at a restaurant in west Cork this morning.

Both are being treated for burn injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.

The men, one aged in his 30s and the other in his 50s, were changing a gas cylinder at the Diva Café and Bakery when the incident occurred.

The area around the restaurant was sealed off while the incident was brought under control.
