Teenager dies after car and tractor collide in Wexford

A 14-year-old boy has died after the car he was travelling in collided with a tractor in Co Wexford.

The crash occurred at Oulart just before 7pm.

The 36-year-old woman who was driving the car was injured.

Both were taken to Wexford General Hospital, where the boy was later pronounced dead.

The woman’s injuries are not life-threatening.

The driver of the tractor was not injured.

The road is closed to facilitate a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
