It is understood that a car involved in a two-car collision in Co Wexford in which an 81-year-old man was killed last night had previously been reported stolen.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Wexford General Hospital.
A woman in her 50s who was a passenger in the elderly man's car was injured in the incident and is being treated at Wexford General Hospital.
The two occupants of the second car did not remain at the scene of the crash.
The incident happened on the N11 at Ballylough, Ferns, near Enniscorthy, at around 10.30pm last night.
