A dog belonging to a young autistic man that had been feared stolen has been found and reunited with his family.

Three year old Toby had been missing from his Limerick home since Sunday.

Toby, a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Beagle, was in the front garden of the Meskell's house in Castleconnell when he disappeared.

The dog has been a loyal companion for her owner 21-year-old Peter Meskell for the past 18 months, after €10,000 was spent on his training.
