Letters written by the late Jackie Kennedy to an Irish priest are being withdrawn from auction.
The letters were due to be auctioned next month in Co Laois.
The letters were being held by the Vincentian Order and All Hallow's College in Dublin.
The Vincentians and the college are now directing the letters be withdrawn from auction.
Jackie Kennedy was the wife of US President John F Kennedy.
In a statement, the college and the Vincentians said they are now exploring with members of Mrs Kennedy's family how best to preserve and curate the archive for the future.
