A US pharmaceutical firm is to set up a new plant in the midlands, creating 160 jobs in construction and 50 full-time positions.
Jazz Pharmaceuticals will be based at Monksland near Athlone and will run a manufacturing and development facility there.
The company is building a 5,000sq.m plant on the 17-acre site.
Jazz Pharmaceuticals set up in Ireland in January 2012 after a merger with Azur Pharma.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny will meet the management of the company this afternoon.
