Iarnród Éireann has said bus transfers will remain in place for a number of days following a landslide at Plunkett Railway Station in Waterford on New Year's Eve.

The company said there will be bus transfers between Waterford and Kilkenny for its Waterford-Dublin train services.

Bus transfers will also be in place between Waterford and Carrick-on-Suir for the Waterford-Limerick Junction service.

The company said it expects the transfers to remain in place as works are carried out to secure the rock face near the station.
