A man who was found unconscious on a street in Cork city on Thursday night has died from his injuries.
The 36-year-old was found collapsed on St Patrick's Quay just after 10pm.
He was taken to Cork University Hospital but died early this morning.
A post mortem will be carried out on the man's body to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
