A 36-year-old man has drowned at Ballyquirke Lake, near Moycullen in Co Galway.
His body was recovered from the water by the Casla Bay Coastguard Unit, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's body has been removed to Galway University Hospital, where a post mortem will be carried out.
It is understood he was originally from Eastern Europe.
