After auditioning well over 1,000 people in Wicklow Town, the producers of the TV show 'Vikings' will be holding further casting calls in Dublin tomorrow and Friday.

The programme is looking to hire around 5,000 paid extras for the filming of the second season.

Filming starts at the end of this month and will go to the end of November.

The Dublin auditions for the 'Vikings' extras will be held at Filmbase on Curved Street in Temple Bar from 9.30am to 6.30pm tomorrow and 9.30am to 5pm on Friday.

'Vikings' is an Irish-Canadian co-production and is filmed at the Ashford Studios in Co Wicklow.

The show originally aired on the History Channel, but will be broadcast by RTÉ later in the year.
