The video "Dublin City: A Radical Science Guide" has won the Uniquely Dublin competition, which was organised as a rebranding exercise for the capital.
The film by Oisin Byrne and Gary Farrelly is described as a "Flann O'Brien satire".
There were over 3,000 entries and the winner was picked from a shortlist of 14 by a public vote.
Entries, in a number of categories including film, graphics and written word, came from as far away as Africa and South America.
The winner gets €10,000, while there are seven other prizes of €1,000 each.
Dublin City Council sponsored the event run by the Little Museum and the entries will be used to help find a new image for modern Dublin.
