Jockey JT McNamara has been left paralysed after falling from his horse at the Cheltenham Festival more than two weeks ago.

Mr McNamara, who is 37, has been receiving hospital treatment in England since he fractured two vertebrae in his neck.

He is said to be in a "very positive" frame of mind.

Plans are being made to transfer him from hospital in Bristol to Dublin when he is well enough.
