Gardaí have issued an appeal in relation to a body found Trá Dhireain Huston, Lettermullen, Co Galway last Thursday.
The body was found at approximately 2.40pm.
It is believed that the man's body may have been in the water for a number of days.
The body was removed to University Hospital Galway for a post mortem.
The man is described as being 1.88m (6' 2") tall, medium build, wearing a Ralph Lauren dark blue and white check shirt size large, blue jeans and Nike grey and blue runners size 10.
