A woman has been killed in a fatal traffic accident in Co Cork.
Gardaí have appealed for witnessed to the collision which occurred between a lorry and a car at approximately 3.20pm at Clounties, on the Dunmanway to Bantry Road.
A female believed to be in her 80s and the sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the lorry was removed to Cork University Hospital with minor injuries. His passenger was uninjured.
Garda forensic collision investigators are currently at the scene. The road is closed and diversions are in place.
