A woman in her 20s has died in a crash on main road between Cork and Mallow.
She was the driver of a car which collided with a truck at Rathduff on the N20 shortly before 7.30am.
The collision occurred close to the junction for Grenagh village.
The victim was taken to Cork University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The road at the scene of the crash has been closed pending a forensic examination and is not expected to re-open before noon.
Gardaí have appealed to motorists to slow down because of the crash and the weather conditions.
