A woman has died in a collision on the outskirts of Cork city.
The cyclist was in a collision with a car at 5.15pm on the in-bound carriageway of the Bandon Road, about 3km from Bishopstown in the city.
The woman died at the scene.
Her body was taken to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem examination will be conducted.
Gardaí at Togher are investigating the collision and are appealing for witnesses.
