The number of overseas visitors coming to Ireland is increasing, according to figures from the Central Statistics Office.
More than 1.1m trips were made to Ireland in December, January and February, which is up 2.7% on the same period last year.
The latest CSO figures show that the number of British and other European visitors has increased, but the numbers travelling from North America and the rest of the world has decreased.
There was an increase of 6.6% in the number of trips made by British residents, and a 1% increase in the number made by residents of other European countries.
But visitors from North America decreased by 4.3% and visitors from the rest of the world dropped by 4.7%.
Irish people are not travelling as much as they did in the past. Just over 1.1m trips were made in the three month period from December to February, which was a decrease of 1.7%.
