Public submissions made to Government on its proposals for a new register of lobbyists were published this morning.
They show broad support for plans to ban former politicians and public servants from lobbying work for two years after leaving office.
53 submissions were made to the Department of Public Expenditure & Reform.
Minister Brendan Howlin is expected to publish a white paper on the regulation of lobbyists within weeks.
A Bill on lobbying is due to be published before the end of the year.
