The Government unveiled details of its plan to make payments to people responsible for bringing sustainable jobs into Ireland.

The Succeed in Ireland initiative - which is part of the Government's Action Plan for Jobs - will provide direct financial incentives to people worldwide to create employment in Ireland.

Under the new scheme a person who gets three jobs to Ireland will get paid €4,500, while the maximum payment for 100 jobs or more is €150,000.

The money will be payable over two years; half after 12 months and the rest after 24 months provided the jobs have been sustained.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny said it would incentivise people around the world, including Ireland’s Diaspora, to be the country’s eyes and ears on the global stage and help deliver new jobs and investment.

ConnectIreland.com has been appointed by IDA Ireland to deliver the scheme.

The company’s CEO Terry Clune said they were asking people to use their contacts to make connections with companies oversees that were expanding internationally.

People can register on the organisation's website to take part in the programme.
