An Irishman has died and another Irish man has been seriously injured in a road crash in the French Alps.
The crash is believed to have happened on Saturday night or Sunday morning.
Ian Corcoran, from Kilrush in Co Clare was killed in the crash.
Another Irish man was seriously injured.
The department is providing assistance to the families of both men.
