Dublin fire brigade call-outs to start at €500

New charges introduced by Dublin City Council for fire brigade call-outs come into effect today.

A fee of €500 will apply for the first hour attending domestic fires, chimney fires and false alarms. The fee rises to €610 for road crashes.

For every subsequent hour, a further €450 to €485 will be charged.

Dublin City Council says most home insurance policies will cover the call-out charges.
