A sit-in at the Vita Cortex plant in Cork is continuing this morning.
A group of around 30 workers began the protest yesterday in a dispute over redundancy payments.
Twenty-seven of them are members of the trade union SIPTU.
A SIPTU spokesperson said the workers had said they had no intention of leaving the plant until they had received their redundancy payments.
