A search for five men missing after a cargo carrier sank in the Irish Sea on Sunday has been called off for the evening and will resume in the morning.
British coastguards have acknowledged that at this stage the operation is now about recovering bodies and not finding survivors.
The search for the five missing Russians resumed at first light at 8am this morning.
Most of the efforts today were concentrated on a 210km stretch of Welsh coastline, where 11 teams from the Holyhead coastguard searched the shoreline with the help of a police helicopter.
The missing five were crewmen on board the cargo ship The Swanland, which sank early on Sunday morning.
A UK official said the hull of the 81-metre vessel cracked. It was carrying 3,000 tonnes of limestone from Wales to the Isle of Wight.
One crewman has been confirmed dead but two sailors were rescued yesterday.
The Irish coastguard and navy assisted in the search yesterday but their involvement was not requested today.
