Members of the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team have rescued an injured woman from Carrauntoohil near Killarney.

The woman injured her knee while climbing with a group on Ireland’s highest mountain. The alarm was raised at around 2.30pm.

She was stretchered to a coastguard helicopter and airlifted to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee.

The woman's injuries are not life threatening.
