Book group Eason is opening a new franchise store in Mullingar, Co Westmeath today.
Three other stores will open over the next two months in Balbriggan, Co Dublin, in Carlow and in Kilkenny.
The four stores will create a total of 50 new jobs between them.
Eason opened its first franchise in Monaghan in 2005 and it now has a network of 17 franchises trading under the Eason name.
Overall, the company has 63 shops on the island of Ireland and employs over 1,000 people.
