Gardaí are investigating a fatal road crash early this morning in which one man was killed.
At around 1.30am, a 25-year-old man was fatally injured when the car he was driving left the road and entered a field at Ballinacourty, Kilfinane, Co Limerick.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital for a post mortem examination.
Forensic collision investigators attended the scene and the road has since re-opened.
