Cork city fire service said it dealt with more than 120 call outs relating to bonfire night celebrations across the city.
A spokesman said while there were a small number of public order incidents, most passed off without trouble.
Fire crews were accompanied by gardaí on their call outs.
Cork city council spent around €30,000 organising a number of civic fun nights at five locations across the city.
However, there were dozens of unauthorised bonfires and it was in these instances that the city's fire service responded.
