The Coast Guard, An Garda Siochana, the RNLI Volunteer Lifeboat crews will recommence the search for Ronan Browne and David Gilsenan tomorrow morning at first light.
The decision to suspend the search was due to the deterioration of weather conditions.
Weather conditions for tomorrow morning will be more favourable for the search to continue.
The search will be joined by a large number of vessels both fishing and pleasure craft.
The land search will also recommence approx 7am.
Divers spent today searching an area around the Skerries islands, the vicinity where lobster pots were laid.
It is understood that was the area where Ronan Browne and David Gilsenan had been fishing on Friday before they went missing.
Three RNLI boats as well as around 20 other boats had carried out an organised grid search on the waters between Greenore, Co Louth and Howth, co-ordinated by the Coast Guard.
