Water supplies have been restored to all parts of Cork city affected by this morning's burst water main.
Cork City Council says discolouration may continue for some time but this will clear and in the meantime the water continues to be safe to use and drink.
Around 30 people were forced to leave their homes when a 40cm pipe burst at around 2.30am this morning on the Old Youghal Road, at the junction of Richmond Hill.
The ruptured pipe is one of the main trunk arteries to the east side of Cork city and carries around 250,000 gallons of water per hour.
Water cascaded down Richmond Hill and Fever Hospital Steps, flooding houses at Shandon Court and Shandon View Cottages.
Among those affected were two couples with young children and an elderly woman who had been discharged from hospital on Friday.
Four fire crews, two ambulances, gardaí and Cork City Council water services personnel attended the scene.
Five families are moving into emergency accommodation provided by the council.
