An elderly woman died in a road crash in Ballydangan, Co Roscommon, last night.
The woman, who was a pedestrian, was struck by a car on the old Athlone to Ballinasloe road at approximately 8.30pm.
Gardaí at Roscommon town are investigating and have appealed for witnesses.
