LRC considers further Aer Lingus talks

Aer Lingus - 90% of European schedule operating
Aer Lingus - 90% of European schedule operating

Talks between Aer Lingus and cabin crew members of the IMPACT trade union remain suspended.

It is understood the Labour Relations Commission will decide tomorrow if an attempt should be made to begin a fresh round of negotiations.

Talks ended in deadlock on Friday night, after both sides engaged in over five hours of negotiation at the LRC.

The row centres on new rosters for cabin crew, that have seen some 300 members of staff suspended by the airline after it claimed they refused to co-operate with the new work practices.

Aer Lingus said 10 flights had been cancelled from today's schedule, but that passengers had been advised in advance and had already been switched to other Aer Lingus services.

They say 90% of the UK and European schedule is operating as normal.

All flights to the United States are in service today.
