A number of roads in Cork and Kerry were flooded following overnight rain in the southwest and west.
The N71 was impassable between Inishannon and Bandon, Co Cork, and at Torc Waterfall, Co Kerry.
Gardaí said part of Bandon was flooded this morning but it has since been cleared.
The river through Bandon town was very high but gardaí expected the road to reopen this evening.
