Two men in their 20s have died in a single-vehicle road crash in Co Limerick.
The crash happened on the N21, about 6km west of Adare near Croagh, at around 9.45pm last night.
The two dead men are believed to be from Limerick city.
A third man in his 30s remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
The road between Rathkeale and Adare was closed for several hours but has since reopened after a technical examination.
Gardaí said that shortly before the accident a garda had observed the car and had turned his vehicle to follow it.
The car involved is believed to have been stolen in Limerick city a few weeks previously. The Garda Ombudsman has been informed of the crash.
A firearm was also recovered from the scene.
