Forty-five jobs are to go at a computer software company in Spiddal, Co Galway.
In a statement issued by Údarás na Gaeltachta, the French-owned company Dane-Elec Teo said it will reduce its workforce from 61 to 16 as a result of manufacturing losses incurred.
The company said it hopes the changes being implemented will mean a return to profitability, thereby securing the future of the remaining 16 jobs.
Dane-Elec Teo has been in operation in Spiddal since 1996.
