It has been confirmed that three people from England died in yesterday's helicopter crash in the Mourne Mountains in Co Down.
The privately-owned aircraft came down in an area known locally as Leitrim Lodge between Hilltown and Rostrevor.
A team from the air accident investigation board is to carry out an examination to try to determine the cause of the accident.
It is believed the aircraft took off from St Angelo Airport in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, earlier in the day.
Members of the public spotted a helicopter in the area and believed its engine sounded abnormally loud.
The emergency services later received reports that an aircraft was in difficulties.
The police cordon surrounding the Leitrim Lodge area has been extended.
There is no access to the area via the main Leitrim road in Hilltown. Flowers have laid at the outer cordon this morning.
The area is internationally renowned for its picturesque scenery.
The mountain range, set on the coastline of south Co Down, is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The highest mountain in the range, Slieve Donard, is more than 900m high.
